| All the custom text and designs on Metal Pressions are hand stamped. If you are not familiar with the process it is simply making a mark into the metal by striking a tool to impress the letter or symbol of the tool into the metal. Each mark is individually placed on the item and all the work is done by hand. Depending on the design it can be time consuming but this technique creates a truly unique look. The natural variation makes each piece distinct and creates a character that can't be found in traditionally engraved items. In addition hand stamping offers a flexibility in custom jewelry that cannot be found with engraved items. |

You can shop a few different ways on this site.
1. Browse Elisha's Designs and select one you like. On most of the designs we allow some of the components to be modified to your liking, like chain size or gem color. Then you can specify what font and custom text you want on each charm or add symbols. We even provide an extra text field for other notes you feel are important to help clarify how you want your design to come out. If there are multiple charms on a design you can list them like this:
Silver 3/4 - I love you Mom - back - Your Favorite Child
Copper 1/2 - JMJ
It's really easy. You can be as detailed in your description to us as you want. Some customers have gone as far as drawing a mock up and e-mailing it to us.
We are committed to faithfully recreating your vision.
2. The components section of this site lists all the products that are used in Elisha's designs and more. Shop and add components individually to your shopping cart. Components that can be customized have font, text or photo options you can select and enter. There are also additional note fields if want to explain how the products should be assembled in a certain way or added to one of Elisha's designs you selected.
3. Pick up the phone and call. We'll be happy to help you create a personalized hand stamped keepsake and place the order over the phone. We can assist you in selecting and arranging items from the site, or you can tell us about you dream idea. If we don't have it on the site we can get it or fabricate it! |
