This week I'm highlighting one of my favorite trends in personalized jewelry - initial charms! My career in jewelry making began by learning to stamp and finish initial charms and pendants with gold rims on them. I then proceeded to branch out into designing more customized items. However, I still adore initial and monogram charms for their juxtaposition between classic and modern design. They are timeless pieces that can be worn everyday. One of the key features of our design process is giving customers freedom of text and layout of their personalized jewelry. Hand stamped text is a timeless classic, but a more modern, trending approach is metal shaped into a letter, number, or word. After some creative exploration we have finalized a collection of wire letters and numbers.
The individual letters mimic our popular block font stamps. These wire letter charms can have a similar look to a solo small disc with a single letter, but having the wearer’s skin show through the negative space creates an even more simplistic & contemporary aesthetic. Whether it’s a single letter for a daily necklace that goes with everything or an accent charm to your favorite jumble necklace these charms will easily become a staple in your jewelry collection.

There are times when you may want something a little different than an engraved or stamped pendant. One of our customers was looking for a charm that is personalized but outside the norm. She had seen pave set diamonds and wanted us to set her sweethearts names in diamonds. Using micro pave set diamonds we created spectacular looking letters on nameplates in 14K gold.
The simplicity of the design makes it great for everyday wear while the brilliance and sparkle of the stones allow it to dress up for cocktail parties or more formal occasions.
