A bride and groom exchange rings on their wedding day, but many couples also exchange gifts the night before or the day of their numptuals. These gifts are often items that can be worn or used on their wedding day or upcoming honeymoon. Most importantly they should be a metaphor for the marriage; timeless and built to last. Here are a few sentimental yet functional gift ideas for the groom that celebrate the first day of the rest of your lives:
Cuff links and tie clips are items he can wear on the wedding day and for all of your future special occasions. Keep them classic on the front for future use, but add a personal note on the back that marks the wedding day - every time he puts them on he will be reminded of walking down the aisle.
While the money clip is not something he can visibly wear on the wedding day, it is a very functional option and great for the guy who isn't into jewelry. He can use this item on a daily basis for years to come.
A wide men's cuff is a great versatile option. He can wear it casually or for special events. Add an inscription on the inside to commemorate your anniversary and/or a favorite quote or lyric on the outside that describes your relationship or the man he is.
Show him you know and love his interests and hobbies. Whenever he goes golfing or to play a few chords on his guitar he will remember your loving support.

We’ve given solutions to shopping for the person that doesn’t wear jewelry, now what about the person with an understated style? People that strive for an extremely minimal look most likely won’t want their personalized jewelry to be so literal by spelling out names, quotes, and birthdays. Here are a few solutions to creating a meaningful piece for that special someone who likes to keep it simple.
Add text in binary code for secret text only the wearer will know…
Hide text on the inside of a bracelet, ring, or put it on the back of a pendant. The jewelry remains fashionable and simplistic while still having a personal meaning.
Use raised elements such as Braille or roman numerals to spell out names or dates discreetly. The wearer will know what the translation means and will also be able to feel this tactile component as a reminder.
Almost every little girl had the iconic broken heart necklace to share with their best friend. They are a classic and timeless item that even now in 2014 are still as trendy as they were many years ago.
We have seen our customers use this great concept as the perfect gift for their BFF or significant other. While the necklace has the same reminiscent meaning it did as adolescents, making it out of solid silver or gold creates an ironic, but whimsical keepsake. As you can see in the examples above, customers have used the “broken heart” pendants with other shapes like a guitar pick. So, if a heart is a little too cliché for you and your bestie you can choose other shapes to break apart for matching pendants and customize them in a way that symbolizes your relationship.
Your wedding is one of the most important days of your life and it should fully represent you and your spouse-to-be. From the flowers to the dress you spend months hand picking everything. So, don’t you want the one item that will always be with you to be just as personal? Our personalized “banded” style 8mm rings are the perfect way to commemorate your special day. You can customize them with your wedding date, your names, and even a personal message on the inside. Here are a few layout and finish combinations other customers have ordered.
Wide rimmed charms are one of our newer items and they really make a statement. This customer personalized her 1.25" 14k yellow gold wide rimmed disc with religious inspiration, making this piece a motivational statement and a fashion statement. The wide rim adds depth and weight making the charm more substantial than flat charms. The silver and gold contrast is enhanced with the 14k yellow gold cross element in the center. Finally, the text circles around the cross symbolizing the infinite and continuous meaning to the wearer.

Running a small business takes a lot of focus. Andreas and I work hard every day to make great jewelry and grow our business. We are constantly presented with challenges from the fabrication to the business management. It takes a lot of gumption and fortitude.
Often my plate is full with just the creative work and Andreas will deal with escalated situations that may arise from time to time. I am always amazed at his resilience under pressure. While I am sure my support plays a big role, I know he is quick to credit his background in Wrestling and Jiu Jitsu as foundation for much of his success. If you saw the way they trained, you would understand why. He even met one of our first employees through training.
For the past several years Andreas has been training at a Relson Gracie Academy in the Savannah area. Mr. Gracie is the eldest son of the late Helio Gracie, the man credited with refining traditional Japanese Jiu Jitsu into the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu we know today. Relson Gracie was the Brazilian National Champion for 22 years and has continued the development of Jiu Jistu in his father’s footsteps.
Today Reslon still dedicates his life to Jiu Jitsu and travels the world teaching his art. A couple of times a year Relson comes to Savannah to teach seminars and work directly with his students. On one of his visits we made him a custom Dog Tag Necklace to show our appreciation. The silver charm has Relsons Initials and a re-creation of his logo. The triangle is 14K gold. On the back is a thank you note and initials so he knows who it’s from.
Relson was elated to get such heart felt gift as a thank you. We hope to make some more great items for him in the future.
During the holiday season in 2012 we had the pleasure of working with Jules P. to design some very personal jewelry for her family. We used our online jewelry design tool to create several designs, tailored to each person. It was a great experience for the both of us sharing stories about our kids and getting to know one and other. After a few iterations back and forth, we had designs that not only she was happy with but were uniquely designed for each child. It was an intimate process working with her, a mother wanting to design motivational keepsake jewelry for her family.
Jules is an artist herself and once I learn about her handmade and painted bags I wasn't surprised at her ability to articulate emotions and feelings so we could help her create heartfelt jewelry designs. I was so impressed with her work that I bought a bag for Elisha as a surprise Christmas gift. The bags are large, vibrant, and hand painted with an eclectic free form design. All the painting is done with her hands... literally the designs flows through her hand and fingertips. It was interesting becasue the process was similar to how we help our customers design. Jules took the time to ask questions about Elisha's style, color preferences, and personality to create a one of a kind bag just for her. She even paints the box for an amazing presentation.
Check out Jules' Etsy store and pick up one of these great custom bags. It has become Elisha's favorite go to bag.
